i What's a retainer?

The retainer is the first part of your total, not an extra fee. It locks in your date, and every dollar of it counts toward your package price. Retainers are non-refundable (that's what holds the date for you), and the remaining balance follows a flexible payment plan.

💡 Wireless Uplighting · 8 lights to start

Wireless uplighting with custom color palettes adds an immersive, dynamic look to the room without messy cables. It stays soft and elegant during dinner, then shifts with the energy of the dance floor. Static single color or dynamic multi-color effects, your call. Eight lights is the minimum and it's usually plenty. For a larger space, or to cover more of the room, add as many as you like.

Mike Sanders is the founder of Sound Decisions Entertainment and a Dayton wedding DJ and MC. He has played more than 500 weddings across the Miami Valley, and he built Sound Decisions on one idea: a DJ whose only job that night is a dance floor that never empties. Yes! Our music curation and timeline app connects to any streaming service. Build your must-plays and your never-plays. Your DJ reviews every pick.

Do you take guest requests?

Totally up to you. Open the floor, limit it, or lock the list. You set the boundaries and we hold the line.

Do you MC too?

Every Sound Decisions DJ is a trained MC. Announcements, introductions, and keeping the night moving are all part of the package.

What if our date is popular?

Dates go fast in peak season. After our consultation call, we can hold your date for one week while you review everything. After that, dates are released unless the contract and retainer are complete.

What if something breaks?

Backup equipment rides along to every wedding. The show goes on, always.
